Department Overview
Storage and Availability Management Group (SAMG) focuses on providing enterprise and large enterprise customers with storage and server management, data protection, and application performance management solutions across heterogeneous storage and server platforms.Key products in the Storage and Availability Management Group include VERITAS Storage Foundation, VERITAS Command Central Storage and VERITAS Cluster Server product lines. Each of these solutions is available across all major UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems, enabling IT organizations to reduce cost and complexity through standardization on storage and availability management solutions from Symantec.
Responsibility
-Work with a global engineering team totake charge a Team of N project.
-Works with little or no supervision.Is able to take general direction and formulate specific tasks to accomplish the desired end result.
-Anticipates problems and future technical needs and takes necessary corrective steps to ensure they are addressed.
-Designs, develops and maintains high-quality code for highly complex components in a given product.
-Solve critical FileStore and Cluster File System issues faced by Symantec Customers and Partner.
-Participate in problem solving and investigation of various areas of the Cluster File System /Storage/Networking
-Has the ability to work on, prioritize and manage multiple assignments and projects.
Qualification
-At least 2 years of experience in working in the linux kernel, system software domain
-Knowledge of Cluster/File Systems/Storage subsystems, system-level programming and debugging is required
-Operating System Internals and Strong C/C++ /Perl/ShellProgramming skills is a must
Knowledge ofEnterprise Linuxwould be must
-Knowledge ofUnix platform ,Solaris ,HP_UX,AIXwould be optional
-Good Problem solving skills, analytical skills desired
-Good team player
-Good knowledge of networks TCP/IP, NFS. CIFS would be a plus
- BS / MS in CS/CE/EE with a background in storage systems required

Responsibility
The position, based in Beijing, is participating a software development project that has engineers worldwide, and ensures all Symantec products to be operating with global environment as well as developing global use of tools. S/he will be responsible for writing functional specifications, developing software modules based on requirements, conducting unit tests, fixing incidents, etc. S/he should be able to work on several tasks simultaneously, have a good sense of project status and provide improvement suggestions.
Qualifications
• M.S., B.S. or higher in Computer Science or related field
• 1+ year software development experience on Windows/UNIX
• Experience of participating a development of global software
• Experience of participating a development of software tools that are globally used
• Must have strong programming skills in VC++, C#, Java, XML/XSL, PHP, Database, Web, JavaScript (at least 2 of these)
• Must have Object Oriented software design skill
• English communication is a must
• Sophisticated logical thinking and analytical skills
• Self-motivated, can-do attitude, good team player, hardworking

o 拥有Windows系统管理经验。
了解反垃圾邮件相关知识、技能者优先。
具备两年以上技术支持经验，特别是针对日本市场及客户提供相关技术支持者优先。
工作职能：
通过远程技术，向企业客户提供网络防病毒及其他信息安全相关产品的软件技术支持。
向企业级产客户收集与产品技术支持相关的需求信息及文档。
参与各种项目，如撰写技术文档、培训员工、开展技术交流及研讨，并对客户的问题进行分析、研究。
技术支持工程师(Technical Support Analyst/Engineer)将针对日本市场、日本客户提供技术支持。根据客户特定需求，员工将面临在中国节假日期间向客户提供支持和服务的情况，赛门铁克将严格按照中国劳动法相关规定支付相关加班工资。
根据服务于日本市场，向日本客户提供技术支持的业务特征，赛门铁克员工将遵循日工作时间8小时，从早7:00 到 下午5:00的工作作息制度。
