The Solutions Architect – Alliances with Huawei role is responsible for managing and driving Alliances Program with Huawei related content programmatically across the APAC region. Working closely with the corporate and APAC region Alliances team and APAC technical service team, the role will lead the programmatic delivery of joint solution/product with Commvault' s unified data management platform and Huawei's advanced IT technical infrastructure and management software, ensuring that each field unit is up to date with Commvault's capabilities, value proposition and go to market strategy. Additionally, the role will operate the joint development/testing centre by co-ordinating with Huawei for joint production/solution envision/planning and high level design and testing activities.
The Solutions Specialist will ensure the product delivery is on time and on quality as desired, meanwhile will act as technical Subject Matter Expert leadership role to help validating the solution and help with early prove of concept test and pilot deployment project
Job Responsibilities:
[*]Align with defined collaboration and solution strategy with Huawei as a global partner
[*]Align with defined joint product and solution roadmap with Huawei
[*]Act as technical lead on product/solution development and technical side coordinator with Huawei
[*]Work with Huawei on joint test lab preparation and operation activities
[*]Participate in solution planning/design/implementation/POC and initial deployment plus related training and handover activities
[*]Regular visit and joint working with Huawei and apply proper product/solution management and required escalation
[*]Perform regular discussion and status update/report on product/solution status within Commvault
[*]Provide insight knowledge and roadmap/plans plus other necessary info regarding Huawei product strategy and seek for other potential opportunities from technical perspective
[*]Communication/co-ordination with other global/regional teams relates to Huawei on product to market and encountered issues from early deployment/validation and offer hyper care support
[*]Build and enhance upon corporate assets around engineering of end to end solutions, reference architectures and cloud plays. Perform performance and scalability testing as required of reference architectures using a defined methodology and delivering documented results
[*]Present on behalf of Commvault at Alliance partner events, provide "Expert" logistical support to the Marketing and PR team
[*]Propose and demonstrate the combined Commvault and Alliance partner's capabilities utilizing demonstrations, white board, presentations, etc.
[*]Maintain an internally available repository of artifacts relating to the nominated Alliance partner such as licensing guides, contact details, sales and technical joint presentations and demo capability
[*]Provide overlay support to other internal departments (sales, support, marketing, development) as appropriate, to ensure success during early sales campaigns.
[*]Provide product and solution guidance into the Product Management team based upon experiences and customer feedback during pre-sales and/or post implementation reviews of selected opportunities.
[*]Travel 30+% of the time within APAC.(primarily within China)
Qualifications:
[*]BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical field.
[*]Team player spirit, fast learner
[*]Strong project management skills and communication skills
[*]Familiar with ITIL, PMP and software development framework would be a plus
[*]Extensive technology background and live project experience on virtual and cloud platform, Linux/Unix/windows and various storage/network environment
[*]Experience on complex technical solution development/implementation and testing is preferred
[*]Prior experience leading a team, solving complex business or technical issues.
[*]Prior experience with scripting/programming is desirable.
[*]Prior hands-on system administration experience is desirable.
[*]Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure operation orchestration/automation desired (Storage, Networking, Server Technologies, etc.).
[*]Proven presentation and communication skills.
