标题: 没事在minix3官网上晃悠看到的一些情况！
昨天花了一晚上的时间在www.minix3.org上面晃悠。

发现minix3没有GUI版的浏览器，只有lynx与links.

电子邮件与新闻组有pine。没看见mutt.

有两个irc的软件。

然后有两个比较好看的窗口管理器。

程序主要是c. 有nasm,perl,python,php.

甚至还看见basic。。。

这里还有个 jikes-1.22 - A Java bytecode compiler.

比较爽的是有mplayer,看本地电影或听歌曲什么的应该不成问题了。

还看见有个antiword 。
是一个查看word文档的自由软件。我居然看见它还有beos,DOS之类版本的。

emacs与vim有。不过好象没有ee这个我最喜欢的简易文本编辑器。另外还有其它几个编辑器。

zip格式是被支持的。

传说中的Tex也被完全支持的。

在虚拟机里装起试了下，速度相当快。ISO文件也不到300M。把所有的程序装上，再加上源代码
什么的，都只要2G左右的硬盘空间。内存也没看见怎么被消耗的。
整个感觉就是一特别精简的东东。
不过，网卡似乎支持的不多。主要都还是8139这个型号。
显卡我没注意。
声卡我目前只看到这个信息，audio-1.0.0 - SB16 ISA and ES1371 audio drivers + framework.

按照它那个官网里说的，主要是在资源特别有限的硬件上运行。386,486机配上16M内存，外加个50M以上的硬盘都能搞起。我喜欢这样的东东。

apache目前的版本是1.3.37。ftp也是完全支持起的。

我在上面看到的信息说是USB接口还没支持起。sata还不能完全支持起。希望是我眼花。

这里面还默认有两个口令破解器。

还看见了游戏软件：

dungeon-2.7.1 - Text adventure dungeon exploration game [这个是什么game，我就不清楚了。]

它上面的命令与使用方式，和freebsd还是相当类似的说。
与声卡，显卡相关的命令：
loadfont (1) - load a font into the video card 不知道可以加载中文字体么？不知道cce,zhcon弄的起么？
mixer (1) - manipulate mixer settings on a sound card

目前minix3的粉丝主要聚集点还是那个新闻组。

发现它那个网站，倒更像是个教你写操作系统的地方。
我看见它那个有大量关于如何写操作系统的资料。有minix3，包括内核与网络的代码注释。还居然相当完整的说。
