The Job Scheduling Console main view consists of three panes.
The Actions List pane contains the switches that enable the user to perform the
following operations:
v Submit job streams
v Submit jobs (Only for the distributed environment).
v Submit Ad Hoc jobs (Only for the distributed environment)
v Set an alternate plan (Only for the distributed environment)
v Restore the current plan (Only for the distributed environment)
You can also create the following new objects:
v New job stream
v New job definition (Only for the distributed environment)
v New workstation
v New resource
v New workstation class (Only for the distributed environment)
v New prompt (Only for the distributed environment)
v New parameter (Only for the distributed environment)
v New Windows user (Only for the distributed environment)
v New domain (Only for the distributed environment)
v New calendar (Only for the distributed environment)
The Work with engines pane is a tree view that displays your scheduler engines
(Workload Scheduler, IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler for z/OS, or other). If you
expand any of the objects that represent the scheduler engines, you see the lists
and groups of lists available for that particular engine. You can right-click any list
item to display a pop-up menu that allows you to manage the list properties.
The right-hand pane displays a list view of the object selected in the tree. This can
be either a number of list objects or the contents of a list in the List Viewer, for the
lists grouped under the Default Database Lists and Common Default Plan Lists
switches, and in the List Viewer, Explorer Viewer and Hyperbolic Viewer for the
the lists grouped under the Default Plan Lists switch. You can right-click any item
in this pane to display a pop-up menu that allows you to manage the related
