利用Solaris Flash安装技术可以快速地将已安装好的参考系统(也称为主系统)全部或部分克隆到多个客户端,安装速度比传统方式要快许多倍,另外,可以结合Flash和Jumpstart安装技术,更快速的布署安装客户端.
在主系统上创建归档文件(Flash Archive)后,需要将该归档文件分发到客户端,一个常见的、快速的分发技术是与Jumpstart技术相结合（参考“如何制作Jumpstart服务器”一文）.
创建的归档文件可以存储在磁带介质上,通过从光盘介质或者网络(安装)服务器引导客户端,进行归档文件的分发.

前面几个步骤按常规方式安装操作系统,直到安装程序提示选择安装介质的时候,选用 Flash Archive Only,如下:

If you do not use a proxy server to gain access to the Internet, select "Direct Connection to the Internet". If you use a proxy server to gain access to the Internet, select "Use proxy configuration" and then provide the necessary proxy information. [1] 1
