Job Description:

Must have strong HP-UX OS and System administration skill sets. Proficient in HP-UX OS tasks such as installation, configuration. Planning and Design, Strong Knowledge in virtualization of Npars and Vpars and the VSE software product set including clustering. Experience with Integrity hardware platforms including blades.

Work independently on customer sites. VSE, Blades, Weekly travel within the continental US with a typical customer engagements lasting 1-2 weeks. Excellent customer skills needed to be able to discuss best practices as well as virtualization and migration solutions. Skills in both spoken and written English language is a requirement.

HP Virtual Server Environment (VSE) Solution Service

Knowledge and Hands-on experience with entire Insight Dynamics VSE Suite
Strong HP-UX OS skills
Other OS skills recommended (Windows, Linux)
Application experience is a nice to have (Oracle, SQL)
HP HPC Cluster Management Solution Service

Strong Linux OS skills
HPC Management software experience on the following platforms: XC, CMU, Insight Control Linux Edition, Scali and ClusterPack.
HPC Application knowledge would be helpful, including Fluent and others
Basic network configuration and troubleshooting skills
HP Integrity / HP 9000 Solution

Strong HP-UX OS skills
Experience with HP Integrity and 9000 servers
Basic network configuration and troubleshooting skill

Job Description:
This is a Technical Consultant position in the Americas C&I Storage Practice. In this entirely customer-facing role, you will help customers to define and implement integrated storage solutions that optimize their technology to support and grow their business.

A desirable candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and documenting complex SAN technology solutions working with cross-functional teams and various levels of management in large enterprise environments. Experience acting as a Technical Lead for complex, large-scale technology implementations is necessary. The candidate must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Technical Consultant will be expected to:
•Assist with scoping Storage Services engagements in support of Statement of Work and Proposal response preparation.
•

rovide pre-sales technical support for complex SAN solutions.
•Mentor new employees and junior level consultants.
•Act as technical lead assisting team members with escalation issues that arise during implementations. This includes assisting internal employee team members and extended external partner team members.
•Design multi-site fabric infrastructures.
•Assist sales and customers with planning for complex SAN environments
•Implement complex SAN configurations to achieve customer desired functionality
•Assist with determining Operating System patch and driver levels.
•Configure SAN hardware for network connectivity.
•Assist with validating storage visibility on SAN connected servers.
•Work closely with a Project Manager to conduct pre-implementation planning meetings with customers to determine the design for the implementation.
•Follow established group standards for all implementations, while providing any feedback necessary to improve the process.
•100% travel. Travel on a weekly basis to various customer sites to perform implementations.

正因为有孩子，有老婆。为了孩子，更应该到美国了，孩子以后就不用为过6级发愁了！！！

在这里和大家分享一下这个职位的面试难点，最最最重要的就是英文
英文一定要好，因为到美国是全英文环境。所以一面就是英文（不管怎么说面试官还是中国人）
二面是中文的技术面试，三面是美国人
还有就是要对HP的产品熟悉，最好有项目实施经验
三就是有驾照否？？？这个到对面试不重要，但到美国就很方便啦！
