标题: 大家好请教大家一个关于cde和nsswitch.conf的问题
昨天遇到这个问题

hp-unix启动后,
root登录后显示:
the desktop messaging system could not be started.
to correct the problem:
1.choose[ok] to return to the login screen.
2.select failsafe session from the login screen's option menu and log in
3.check to see that the desktop is properly installed,the hostname is correct (/etc/hosts) and that the network is properly configured.

然后点ok,又回到登录界面.

我修改了/etc/nsswitch.conf,把hosts那一行改为hosts: files ,然后root用户可以登录,也不出现"the desktop messaging system could not be started".

但是我很奇怪,其中一个用户whnj1,登录不了系统

我用root登录,cat /etc/passwd后发现没有whnj1这个用户,而且id whnj1也不行
但是我曾经看过whnj1确认可以正常登录的情况...

请教下大家,如何查看这个whnj1用户..修改nsswitch.conf和这个有关系吗? 如果改回原来的,那么就会出现the desktop messaging system could not be started.. 是不是须要修改为hosts: files nis 这样,whnj1才可以登录呢..
