Dell Raid Adapters Driver Info
SCO OpenServer / SCO UnixWare
The purpose of this article is to briefly describe what
Dell hardware has been certified on SCO platforms and to
provide the driver locations for the Perc family of raid
controllers.
The following list shows the entire line or SCSI-RAID Perc
adapters. Please note that the Perc II and Perc 2 controllers have
reached the end of life.
They are included here for reference purposes only.
Please note:
S = Single Channel
D = Dual Channel
i = Integrated
c = PCI Card
ROMB = Raid on mother board (same as "i" above)
This following list includes both PCI based adapters and onboard chipsets.
Note: Dell also offers the following on some models that
often get confused with the PERC controllers:
DELL SAS 5iR PCI-E lsil/mpt
DELL SAS/5E PCI-E lsil/mpt
DELL SAS 6iR PCI-E lsil/mpt
NOTE:
For the Dell Perc 4 Raid Adapters you need to ensure that the
Adapter BIOS setting for Emulation mode is set to Mass Storage for
the adapter to be recognised by the amird and mega Adapter drivers.
The Emulation Mode is found under
Objects -> Adapter -> Emulation
within the Dell Perc 4 BIOS. For more information on how to
do this please see your Dell PowerEdge Expandable RAID Controller
User's Guide.
The systems below have been certified on SCO products.
Under the system name are the controllers which came with
that machine stock and which were used in certifications.
Please visit the SCO compatible hardware web page for the most
up to date information about all certified DELL platforms and
products. http://www.sco.com/chwp

================
perc2 & perc3 controllers and drivers have been obsoleted by Dell.
Please contact your SCO support provider for the correct drivers as
the links below are not functional and are listed for legacy purpose only.
Note: Please pay special attention to the README for this
driver. The bus mapping has changed and a special bootstring
is required to get the root hard disk to be seen properly.
As a final note, Dell includes two different onboard NICs
one is the Broadcom Gigbit NIC and the other is the Intel
Gigabit NIC. The drivers for those chipsets are available from the
Broadcom and SCO Web/FTP sites.
