Linux kernel version : 2.6.28.10
Hardware: Powerleader PR3015S with Promise EX16350 Raid Controller or with Highpoint RocketRAID 3540 Controller, Afaya 2GB SATA DOM contains system.
Note:
1、both RAID Controllers' drivers are configured as module not built into kernel, this is to prevent udev from naming DOM after raid disks(eg. for 1 raid disk, it will be sda, and DOM is sdb; for 2 raid disks, DOM become sdc), thus it's difficult to assign a correct value root=/dev/sdX1 in menu.lst(also in fstab), label the disk or use UUID to boot all failed. If you install your system directly on raid disk, compile these drivers into the kernel.
2、No SELinux support added(it will cause kernel panic when the server is being pinged from other machine, add selinux=0 into boot options fixes this, so SELinux is not included in). Anyone who knows the cause of this problem pls notify me, 3x.
3、Large block device and Large single file support added to handle > 2T block device and files.
4、ext4 were compiled into the kernel. You should use latest e2fsprogs suite to use it.
