Operating System
Administrators wishing to use VHCS should note that the following operating systems are supported: Debian => Sid, Sarge or Woody Fedora => Core 1, Core 2 or Core 3 Red Hat => 7.x, 9.x SuSE => 7.x, 8.x, 9.x Ubuntu => Warty, Hoary Or Breezy
Software Requirements
To run VHCS you must have the following software daemons installed:
Postfix (Version 2 or greater)ProFTPdApache (Version 2 or greater)Courier POP3 and IMAPBind9MySQL (Version 4 or greater)iptables

Pre Install
Before you install VHCS you need to find out
what versions of certain programs you have and to alter some fixed
configurations. Also it is recommended you make backups of certain
configurations at the start.
Crontab Backup
It is highly recommended that you backup your
root user crontab on your computer as VHCS will replace it which may
make certain critical features of your computer stop working. The
following command MUST be performed as 'root',
server:# crontab -l > crontabbackup-vhcs.cron
Please make sure this file is stored in a very safe place (a place where it's not likely to be deleted from).
