我在配置cisco 3640 路由器背靠背连接时，在串口时启用clock rate 命令时总是提示clock rate is ignored on the dte interfaces ?错误？谁知道是什么原因吗？
是不是我的连接电缆有问题？我用的全是dte电缆，把他们做成交叉连接。这样不知道是不是这个原因造成的。要不不可能总是提示是dte端口的？

那你要show controllor看看，显示的是什么类型，DTE 还是DCE

谢谢大家，我回去看看，但是有点奇怪。我把电缆拔掉，就不会有这个提示了？这是为什么，应该不是这些问题吧

电缆拔掉，物理上就不通了，根本检测不到carrier,当然也就不会报错了

用show contr 看到是cable类型是dte的，两个串口用dte电缆是不是交叉连接是不是不能设置成dce了？

dte是终端设备，只有dce才能提供时钟。
你要用show controller 看一下，确定是dce那口才可以。

是dte，我说是不是因为电缆问题。dte和dce能不能手工指定啊？

线缆的针脚排列决定了谁是dte，dce。
再重复一遍：clock rate 只能在dce上设置！

因为没有dce电缆，我是用两根dte电缆进行交叉连接的，这样是不是不行啊？我的线序是：A--A，B--B，C+D---F，E+J---H，P---R，S---T，U---V，W---X，还有Y和AA等没有用。不知道这样对不对？
