is it possible to do a remote backup?
details:
box A: sql 7 server.
box B: sql 7 client.
running query analyzer from box B, connecting to box A via internet.
is it possible to backup a database from box A to local file system on box B, without netbeui and sharing folders from box B?

Ok, u can run the backup database DDL statment in SS Query.

why didn\'t you use ENTERPRISE MANAGER. You can backup any database to locally hard disk or network hard disk. You may need to map your B server\'s hard disk driver to A server.
otherwise, you have to use third party software via name pipe.
