Virtualization Software Engineer (Xen/KVM enabling)

Location: Beijing/Shanghai

Description

Virtualization is key technology for a wide range of usage models, such as typical server consolidation and cloud computing. Intel Virtualization Technology provides hardware extension to X86 architecture for efficient support of virtualization. The new hire will work with Open Source Xen/KVM community to enable Intel Virtualization technology, including:
1. Adding new hardware virtualization support to Xen/KVM;
2. Support OSV to ensure virtualization readiness in their OS releases;
3. Develop new usage models built on virtualization;

Qualifications

1. In depth understanding of x86 architecture
2. In depth knowledge of virtualization solutions such as Xen/KVM
3. In depth knowledge of OS theory and implementation, Linux is preferred.
4. Experienced in the C programming language
5. Fluent English skills, including oral and written English.

干了N年的Motorola(Freescale)芯片：Powerpc, ARM
最近要开始回头用用Intel芯片了。公司下一款产品选用Intel Baytrail系列处理器。看中的就是其在芯片级别对虚拟化的支持。
