在ProLiant ML350 G3服务器上安装SCO UnixWare 7.1.1，会出现以下问题，导致安装程序不能进行：
- 如果用2张启动软盘启动服务器，在按照屏幕提示插入#2软盘后报错，安装程序不能读取软盘，无法继续
- 如果直接用UnixWare光盘启动服务器，在按照提示插入HBA软盘后，安装程序不能正确识别HBA软盘；用Ctrl+Alt+Esc切换到控制台（console）端，报错如下：
WARNING: FDC unexpected state

解决办法
使用SCO UnixWare的ptf7619d启动&补丁软盘组，下载网址：
ftp://ftp.sco.com/pub/unixware7/ptf7619d

制作软盘命令
# dd if=ptf7619d.boot1.img of=/dev/rdsk/f03ht bs=32k <-- Boot disk 1
# dd if=ptf7619d.boot2.img of=/dev/rdsk/f03ht bs=32k <-- Boot disk 2
# dd if=ptf7619d.supp.image of=/dev/rdsk/f03ht bs=32k <-- Supplemental floppy
使用制作出的启动软盘启动机器并安装操作系统，在安装程序最后，会提示插入PTF软盘。此时插入制作出的第三张软盘，即补丁盘，然后选择“Install A PTF”

用这种方法安装可以解决很多机器上的问题

Dear Caldera Customer,

Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf7619d, the UnixWare 7.1.1 psm_apic Driver
Supplement and NSC 7.1.1+IP dependent node install supplement, addresses the
following problems:

1. Installation of UnixWare 7.1.1 hangs on systems with a clock speed greater
than or equal to 1Ghz.

2. Support for UnixWare Non-Stop Clusters dependent node installation using the
new Intel PRO/1000 F and PRO/1000 T Server Adapters.

3. Support for network installation of Unixware 7.1.1 using PRO/1000 Adapters.

Installation Instructions
-------------------------

1. For supporting systems with 1GHz or greater clock speed, new boot floppies
are provided.

Cut the boot floppies and a Supplemental floppy:

   # dd if=ptf7619d.boot1.img of=/dev/rdsk/f03ht bs=32k
   # dd if=ptf7619d.boot2.img of=/dev/rdsk/f03ht bs=32k
   # dd if=ptf7619d.supp.image of=/dev/rdsk/f03ht bs=32k
      (This is the Supplemental floppy.)

Use the boot floppies to install the system.  Near the end of the
installation, you will be prompted for a PTF floppy.  At this point
insert the Supplementary diskette in the floppy drive and choose
"Install A PTF".

Note that ptf7619d itself is not applicable and cannot be installed on
NSC systems.  The 1Ghz support does not apply for NSC systems.

2. For support of UnixWare Non-Stop Clusters dependent node installation
using the the new Intel PRO/1000 F and PRO/1000 T Server Adapters,
new boot and netinstall images are provided.  Please see the file
README.ptf7619d for details.

3. For updated support of network installation of Unixware 7.1.1 using
PRO/1000 Adapters, new netinstall floppies are provided.  Please see
the file README.ptf7619d for details.

If you have questions regarding this SLS, or the product on which it is
installed, please contact your software supplier.

我的hba盘是在ibm网站下的raid的ips hba盘亚！也在安装过程加了
可是每次都到最后出现这个，没法继续！

难道ibm x360安不上unixware 7。1。1

找一台unix或是linux的机器。将你下载的文件用dd 的命令景象到软盘上。使用软盘来安装启动。
HBA也要新的，你的mail是什么我把这几个文件发给你。
# dd if=/home/ptf7619d.boot1.img of=/dev/rdsk/f03ht
# dd if=/home/ptf7619d.boot2.img of=/dev/rdsk/f03ht
# dd if=/home/ptf7619d.supp.img of=/dev/rdsk/f03ht
# dd if=/home/hba_711a.image of=/dev/rdsk/f03ht
假设这些文件都在/home下。

还忘了，安装完后要加m1补丁
重启动后配置网卡bcme（这个驱动要去ibm的网站下载）
记住陪完网卡后，如果你是一些数据库应用，可能还需要加m2的补丁。
但一定不要先加m2的补丁，因为m2补丁跟bcme的网卡驱动有冲突。

找四张软盘作出来再用软盘来安装。

IBM的raid卡的frommware一定要和它的驱动想对应的，你到ibm的网站下载一个最新的驱动的frommware。都给她升级看一下。

那光盘可以启动，直到安装过程进行到输完root密码，开始光盘往硬盘上拷时，就出现红屏！

在HP Proliant ML350 G3安装Sco UnixWare步骤

安装UnixWare 7.1.1
一、硬件设备:
HP Proliant Server ML350 G3
配置：单路Xeon 2.4GHz,2G内存，2颗36GB SCSI硬盘，主板集成双通道Ultra-3 SCSI卡
二、软件
1． Sco UnixWare 7.1.1光盘
2． Pft补丁(包括ptf7619d.boot1.img;ptf7619d.boot2.img;ptf7619d.supp.img)，使用提供的RAWRITE.EXE可以得到两张启动软盘和一张PTF补丁软盘。
3． Hp网站下载的SP21902.EXE（解压以后可以得到UWS756US._01; UWS756US._02; UWS756US._03; UWS756US._04; UWS756US._05; CPQEFS.PKG; Readme.txt;QRST5.EXE文件，准备五张软盘，并且执行QRST5.EXE可以得到五张驱动，其中解压的第一张是HBA(主机SCSI控制器驱动程序)盘，其它的软盘可以不用）
4． ML350 G3网卡驱动程序bcme-2.2.10.pkg，使用提供的Rawrite.exe解压为一张软盘。
以上2、3和4的驱动程序和PTF补丁我们可以提供或者从网上下载。

1 首先把ptf7619d.boot1.img;ptf7619d.boot2.img;ptf7619d.supp.img制作成三张软盘，其中两个有boot名称的是启动软盘，另外一个有supp的是ptf补丁软盘，将 boot1制作的软盘放入软盘驱动器中，开机引导.并且在提示的时候换上第二张软盘，机器提示插入HBA盘，将解压的EFS中的第一张盘放入软驱，系统继续安装过程
2 选择"

roceed with installation in English"，并按 ENTER 继续
3 按F10 继续
4 提示"Choose a zone for this system and press <F10>;"，选择 "Americas (Latin-1)"
5 提示"Choose a locale for this system and press <F10>;"，选择 "C (English)"
6 提示"Keyboard"，选择 "United States"
7 输入license number和code (大小写敏感)
8 选择 "

roceed with installation"
9 选择 "Do not enter the DCU (auto-configure drivers)"
10 输入System node name.
11. 在Disk Configuration的屏幕，按F2 从 "Choices" 中根据自己的要求选择
12. 选择 "Use default file system sizes and types"
13. 选择 "Use default disk options"
14. 选择 "License-Based Defaults"
15. 在Network Adapter安装的提示下，
16. 选择 "Defer network configuration"
17. 确认时间和日期正确，如果不正确修改
18. 选择 "Traditional"
19. 输入system owner name， login name， user ID number，输入password两次
20. 输入Root password两次
21. 选择 "Accept"
22. 按F10 开始安装系统
23. 在安装过程中，根据提示需要PTF补丁时，插入用ptf7619d.supp.img制作的软盘。
24. 安装完成后，取出光盘和软盘，按Enter重新启动服务器
25. 在鼠标安装的提示选择 "

S/2-compatible Mouse"
26. 输入鼠标的键数"2"
27. 按Enter测试鼠标
28. 确认鼠标选择正确，单击鼠标停止测试
29. 插入"Updates CD-ROM Disk 2 of 3"(Unixware安装光盘的第二张)
30. 按空格键选择软件包，安Enter开始安装
31. Unixware光盘的第二张安装完成后，按F10
32. 取出光盘和软盘，按F8重新启动服务器并安装Unixware光盘的第三张 "Optional Services CD-ROM Dsk 3 of 3"

安装网卡
登录UnixWare系统，在提示符下把制作的网卡驱动程序软盘放入软驱。
运行pdgadd –d diskett1命令，按照屏幕提示把网卡驱动程序拷贝到系统中
运行# netcfg，单击Hardware菜单，选择Add new LAN adapter，系统能自动识别到NC7781网卡。双击TCP/IP，输入IP地址和子网掩码
安装完成重新启动电脑，并且可以使用另外一台电脑通过PING命令监测网卡是否正常安装成功！

至此，整个系统安装完成。
开发包根据自己的需求安装，需要另外的一张UnixWare开发包光盘来安装。
步骤是：
首先登录Sco UnixWare系统，然后执行pkgadd -d cdrom1 udk，这时你应该已经把开发包光盘放入到光盘驱动器中。根据屏幕提示就可以将开发包安装到系统中了
