# ./configure
./configure: Command not found.
# make
make: no target to make.
# make install
make: don't know how to make install. Stop

The file
diablo-latte-freebsd6-i386-1.5.0_07-b01.tar.bz2
was a binary package, so it can't be treated as a source tarball.

use pkg_add to install.

don't click the ftp links directly. I don't know your version of bsd , so changed the release version in the ftp URL to x.x-release.
