Job Overview
This position is responsible for creating and/or maintaining software applications for a product or family of products. Provides moderately complex modification, testing and debugging tasks. Key Responsibilities

Participate in design and code reviews with other developers.
Assist Quality Assurance Team by providing assistance to testers and support personnel as needed to determine system problems.
Develop and direct software testing plans for quality assurance.
Attend department meetings and provide input to establish and improve departmental processes and procedures.
Provide product content to Technical Writers.

Generally works without consulting their manager.
Independent decisions are made daily.
Examples of typical decisions without manager consultation:
Reprioritize and manage their workload without consulting their manager.
Design programs or solutions.
