标题: 哪位仁兄连过sun的6140阵列的串口
如题：根据SUN公司的文档，设好串口的速率和数据位之类的信息，然后连接，死活没反映，说要发送一个BREAK键值，但是按CRTL+BREAK没反应，我可以发送我的CRTL+BREAK到主机串口，可以产生STOP-A的效果，证明我的终端软件没有问题。但是6140没有反应，所有接口和线缆都是SUN公司原装的。

不知道IP地址了，要重新配IP地址，网络是不行的。不过还真奇了怪了，我还没听说谁成功连过6140的串口

默认不是192。168。128。101或102么？
在ctrl+break后如看到Press within 5 seconds: <S> for Service Interface, <BREAK> for
baud rate

我搞过一次，要清电池时间。按楼上说的它会提示输入用户名和密码，不知道是不是统一的，后头贴给你！

使用管理主机把，，管理主机会自动发广播找储存设备的，而且只要管理的主机的密码就可以管理储存设备了··

新建卷的时候是不是从虚拟磁盘上划分出来的

我没有买许可证能不能让2太机子各认到一个卷?

新建卷的时候从6140的逻辑上看是从虚拟磁盘上划出来的！6140的虚拟磁盘我把它理解为卷组。不知大家看法如何！
另外，串口上去的时候仅需要密码，缺省的密码在手册上有！

有个专门的管理软件，有FOR SOLARIS的，也有FOR WIN的，装上以后就可以进行管理了，也可以设置IP，默的好像是。。。192.168.128.101，192.168.128.102

今天装一台新的6140的时候也是，用串口连不上，

刚开始有网络连接可以正常连接上，我也把阵列注册到管理主机上，但是等了一会就死活也连不了，我用了交换机，用网线直接连也连不上。
我用的是T5220的主机连不上，用自己的笔记本对连也边不上。。

救命啊。。有没有谁也遇到过同样的问题，帮帮忙。。。。

用windows自带的超级终端连，别用seu....记得是38400哦！

默认IP是192.168.128.101，192.168.128.102
可以通过CAM管理

再添一个换电池的步骤
6130 6140换电池CAM不能复位电池时间,只能通过串口
SANtricity没试过刷
1. Establish serial port connection to controller A.
2. Confirm the battery actually has been expired.

LZ的问题I KNOW，手册上明确写了，需要先把已经建立的终端删除，然后重新创建一个。我试过，在原有的基础上把9600改成38400后，的确没有信息从串口输出；删除后，重新建立一个就没问题了。可能6140比其他主机或者3510等特殊。LZ不妨试一下删完后重新建一个！！！

网络连吧，只是要不停拼6140的IP地址，192.168.128.101 在1号口上

有时候会拼不通的

新版本的CAM6.0是中文的

一端是 6 针微型 DIN 连接器、另一端是标准 9 针串行连接器的基本电缆

实际看这根线是一端是 PS2 的，一端是网线头的。和主机的串口连接时需要从网线头转到 9 针串口。

但 9 针串口转换必须使用磁阵带的黑色的那个，银白色的那个是连不上的。

我今天搞了一下午才明白...

BTW：求能进 BOOT OPERATIONS MENU 的 password，厂家给了我两个都上不去。

急等降 firmware 的版本...

确实是这么回事的。所以我个人的习惯是把sun的9针串口头子改装一下，省得麻烦

很容易连的，实际除了文档公布的SHOW IP ,CINFIGURE IP等外还有个强大的SHELL模式。。。。。就是密码很少有人知道（不是PDF里那个KENXXX啥的）

如果没有CAM，用SM也是可以的
