请教：CA Arcserve V7.0备份和恢复sybase数据库的问题

环境：
备份服务器A,win2000,arcserve v7.0
客户机B,C,都装有sybase11.5，arcserve的backup agent for sybase
问题：
从B机上备份了一个数据库，恢复到原路径时不成功（已把原数据库和设备都删掉了），现象是恢复到7%时出错。恢复到C机上则成功。
从C机上备份了一个数据库，恢复到原路径时不成功（已把原数据库和设备都删掉了），现象是恢复到7%时出错。恢复到B机上则成功。
数据和日志放在不同的设备上，都作了备份。恢复时如果单个恢复，情况同上；如果同时恢复，则恢复到53%时出错。

请教了！

E8603 Failed to write to database.(DBNAME=ss,EC=Backup Agent Error - (94) "Failed to send SQL command.Please check the log file DBASYB.LOG"
以上是job log 中的一行。DBASYB.LOG中只是一些connect和disconnect的记录，并没有什么提示性的东西。
还有，我刚才测试时只删掉数据库中的表，恢复到原路径时是成功的；但是把数据库删掉就出问题了。
老大们，帮帮忙了。刚开始接触数据库备份，不大懂啊！

If you are completely reconstructing an entire Sybase Server, you must confirm that the same database and/or log and the corresponding physical devices are defined in the Sybase Server’s master database. If they are damaged and cannot be recovered, you must drop the database and the related devices before proceeding with the restore. The Backup Agent will check the validity of each restore before it starts to restore.
Important! It is assumed that you have sufficient knowledge about the database to restore, such as the size, logical and physical names of devices, and so on.
以上是option guide 中的一段话。按此要求操作是成功的。但是为什么我恢复到另外一台sybase服务器上就不需要先建设备和数据库而直接恢复就可以呢？不过设备的名字已经不是原设备的名字了，变成了自动命名的。

测试没必要删设备吧，drop掉个表就可以了吧
你是怎么删的？操作系统删的还是？
应该是不能把整个设备k掉的

是从sybase中delete掉的。

单独drop掉若干表在恢复时是没有问题的。看来在恢复之前先保证有和原始状态一样的设备才是保证恢复无误的前提。

设备是不能k掉的，你试试用dd copy点东西进去，略过前面的若干字节（64k应该够了），呵呵，借用oracle的经验。
