Aide-memoire: Darwin 7.0/x86 (5): Running X
Hey, you work late. Well done!
Back to topic:
It depends on the unix-shell you use. For instance, using tsch shell, at command prompt % or # if you are root:
Step 1:
% tcsh
Step 2
% setenv PATH "${PATH}:/usr/X11R6/bin"
Step 3
% startx
/* you should then get the humble twm window manager */
Reference on unix:
Unix Power Tools -- Publisher O Reilly
I am using the English version (2nd Edition). Latest is 3rd edition.
I seemed to have spotted a Chinese (jianti ban) "3rd" Edition in a bookshop in Hong Kong
