2.               Specify  the  bytes/inode  ratio.   mke2fs  creates an inode for
   
3.               every bytes-per-inode bytes of space on the  disk.   The  larger
   
4.               the  bytes-per-inode  ratio,  the  fewer inodes will be created.
   
5.               This value generally shouldn’t be smaller than the blocksize  of
   
6.               the  filesystem,  since  in  that case more inodes would be made
   
7.               than can ever be used.  Be warned that it  is  not  possible  to
   
8.               expand the number of inodes on a filesystem after it is created,
   
9.               so be careful deciding the correct value for this parameter.

看这段的意思, -i 后面指定的应该是 每个inode指向的字节数.
