HMC升级步骤(7315-c03升级7310-c03),其他机型仅做参考!

现有一台HMC控制台,型号是7315-c03,os版本是v3.2.4,主板F/w是2AKT31AUS
现在需要用它去管理P5的服务器,需要将OS升级到v4.X以上,高版本的recover-cd请到以下地址下载:

,里面是最新v4.5的recover-cd,一共7张盘,大约2.6GB
同时if you are upgrading to HMC V3 R3.0 or greater on your HMC, or to HMC V4. R1.0 or greater
HMC's models 7315-C03 and 7310-C03 must be upgraded F/W主板微码
首先你需要确认当前的主板F/w是否需要升级
To determine if you need to update your HMC's BIOS, you must reboot      the HMC and verify the "Flash EEPROM Revision Level".
      - Reboot the HMC
      - When "Press F1 for System Setup" is displayed in the lower left        corner of ther screen, press function key "F1".
      - When the "IBM Setup Utility" screen is displayed, select the "Main"tab.
      - Verify the "Flash EEPROM Revision Level". It will be of the form:
            2AKTxxyUS
        If BOTH conditions listed below are met, NO update is required.
            1.) "xx" is 38 or greater            2.)  "y" is a "R"

开始升级HMC操作系统
重启HMC,插入v4.5的recover-cd,HMC默认启动顺序是光驱-软驱-硬盘
出现窗口时,安装提示选择F8-安装或更新
选择F1-install/recover
开始recover,大概需要30分钟的时间,第一张盘recover完毕会重起HMC,再提示你插入后面的盘add software,我总共用到了5张盘.
成功之后机器重起,进入HMC界面,选择help-abaut HMC,显示版本v4R5,一切ok.
设置内置网卡en0为dhcp,以及dhcp范围(例9.6.24.1-9.6.24.255,en0即自动设为9.6.24.1,尽量范围小一点),en0连交换机,P5服务器HMC1端口连交换机,p5服务器关机断电,网线用普通直连线即可
设置好后HMC还需要重起一下以使网卡配置生效
P5服务器通电(之前不要将p5服务器通电,否则无法获得dhcp地址）,自检完毕后,在HMC上执行server manager-add受管系统-指定IP搜索范围,一般dhcp会从后面地址开始,所以我一般设为9.6.24.250-9.6.24.254,搜索完毕再刷新一下即可在HMC中看到主机.
