关于磁带的block_size问题

在AIX4.3.3中做如下操做：
#tar tvf /dev/rmt0
tar: The block size is 4 bytes.
我以为是磁带中数据的块大小是4 bytes与磁带机默认的块大小不一致所致，但是用lsattr -El rmt0得到结果如下：

block_size    0     BLOCK size (0=variable length)    True
extfm         yes   Use EXTENDED file marks           True
ret           no    RETENSION on tape change or reset True

其中block_size是变量，为什么磁带中的内容会读不出来呢？
还有，我看mt的文档时弄不懂fsr和fsf的区别：
fsf Moves the tape forward the number of files specified by the Count parameter.  
fsr Moves the tape forward the number of records specified by the Count parameter.
请问记录(records)和文件18:53 2003-4-8(file)有什么区别？
