responsibilities
- Responsible for the administration & provision of Asia-Pacific infrastructure services across all spectrums of technology such as servers, OS, storage, compute platform, administration tools etc, in the office, Engineering & manufacturing environment.
- Participate in technical global virtual teams for the development of global standardization, processes, policies & procedures for our technological components.
- Act as a tier-2 Infrastructure support personnel & assist in some local area networking work.
- Perform branch office/site network & infrastructure setup in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Interact with different Business Units to understand and support their needs.
- Expand our role in supporting the Engineering compute platform needs.
- Must have at least a BSc in Computing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other relevant IT technical disciplines.
- Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in supporting the office user environment with technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP/DDNS Services, Exchange messaging, Windows 2003 Servers, & VMWare ESX 3.x.
- Must have at least 2 years of relevant experience in supporting Engineering compute platform running Redhat Linux & some scheduling software such as LSF.
- Good writing & conversing skills in English & Chinese, a team player, independent, responsible & a self starter.
- Willing to travel if needed to perform site setup or support.
