Purpose:
Execute large scale, multi-dimensional complex Infosys led programs for clients to meet client & Infosys parameters of success & quality. The program management would include management of scope, schedule, risks, configuration, change, communication, issue escalation, budget , quality and resources WITH the objective of ensuring program management of the highest standards WITHIN the guidelines, policies and norms of Infosys Technologies
Education & Relevant Experience:
Under Graduate degree (In Any discipline in Engineering) with masters in business administration-12-15 yrs work Exp - with minimum 2 yrs as group project manager in IT Products/Services
Area Of Responsibilities
1. Issue Management:
Set up the tracking mechanism, Log , track, escalate and report issues to respective stake holders IN ORDER TO ensure disposition of issues
2. Risk Management:
Set up the tracking mechanism, Log, name and characterise(Qualitative & Quantitative) risk , Seeks inputs as required(for complex risks: medium to high exposure risks) and propose a risk mitigation plan. Track, escalate and report risks IN ORDER TO ensure that the mitigation plan is laid out.
3. Scope Management:
Coordinate with track owners, seek inputs, compile & construct, scope document including hard & soft commitments . Compile and base line the document. Secure sign off from all the relevant stakeholders, implements version control in order to keep the document current. Establish downstream and upstream traceability. Conduct scope reviews on periodic basis to ensure delivery is as per plan. Escalates items with low requirement stability IN ORDER TO ensure the program delivers on what is needed and required.
4. Schedule Management:
Receives a master schedule, coordinates and conducts meetings with individual track owners to detail out the stated milestones, calls out dependencies ,compiles & seeks signoff to baseline the document. Establishes version control, Conducts periodic reviews, Captures deviations & Escalates exceptional deviations IN ORDER TO keep schedule integrity.
5. Program Governance (Includes PMP):
Prepares the program management plan; secures the signoff with program sponsors; Sets up implementation mechanisms IN ORDER TO define the process to be followed by the program team for executing various activities
6. Client Management:
Identifies relationship needs, explores relationship opportunities, formulates action plans, subordinates own area goals & monitors relationships; Contribute to definition of business case & program charter alignment IN ORDER TO build and strengthen client relationships
7. Stakeholder Management:
Identifies key stakeholders by name, relationship, duration and impact to the program; Defines the disposition of each of the stakeholders to the program; Prepares action plans to engage & influence the stakeholders per disposition IN ORDER TO clearly identify and mitigate adverse impact to program
8. Benefits Management:
Studies the program charter, business case, proposal. Collates and documents the expected benefits for the program IN ORDER TO help meet program goals
9. Program Change Management:
Receives change requests, facilitates impact analysis, schedules change control meetings, tracks the change request and ensures the relevant documents are updated IN ORDER TO close the change requests.
10. Communication Management:
Prepare & execute / facilitate(Scheduling& conducting meetings, preparing artifacts) various activities as per the communication plan IN ORDER TO ensure the right stakeholders are informed at the right time with the right information.
11. Configuration Management:
Ensure that the configuration plan is followed and the artifacts recorded IN ORDER TO ensure integrity of the documents/code & other artifacts of the program.
12. Contract Management:
Identifies the contract parameters that have material impact to program delivers; prioritizes the parameters; sets up controls to proactively identify contract adherence issues IN ORDER TO meet economic objectives of the contracted program
13. Vendor Management:
Identifies key partners both within and outside of contracts who have material impact to the program. Builds formal & informal partnerships IN ORDER TO ensure program dependencies are co-coordinated and executed
14. Quality Management:
Identify,excute and report on continuous improvement activities & Conducts quality audits IN ORDER TO ensure overall quality metrics applied to the program are met
15. Knowledge Management :
Create & publish knowledge assets IN ORDER TO increase reuse & improve productivity
16. Resource Management (People & Infrastructure):
Receives FTE requirement estimates from individual tracks & Compiles on boarding artifacts, Executes on boarding process, updates & provides timely inputs into support units unit BP- HR; Determine & track hardware and software infrastructure needs such as machine spares, licenses & access IN ORDER TO bring planned people/talent onboard on time and in the right order and ensure that the program has the required and appropriate hardware to execute on time.
17. Administration:
Inputs data complies with workflow of Infosys systems IN ORDER TO meet compliance guidelines.
