Database Engineer/Production Engineer
Description:
The database/production engineer requires a self-motivated, independent, and analytical individual to maintain the organization's proprietary database management system. The position is responsible for production report generation, database administering and supporting, troubleshooting and continuing development and refinement for both front and back end operations of the SQL Server-based, web interface application. He\she must be able to communicate to U.S. consultants fluently and can make business trip to U.S. for couple of months per requirement.

Responsibilities:
•        Large volume data conversion, data cleansing, production report generation, and upholding scheduled data delivery standards
•        Perform Data validation and massaging to ensure accuracy and quality of data
•        Administering and supporting a large database environment with SQL Server 2008
•        Establish and follow best practices for enterprise monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance
•        Manage the integrity of data input/output and take corrective measures to address any inconsistencies
•        Writing scripts for monitoring database systems and automating common tasks.
•        Create ad hoc queries, exports, and reports for consultants\end users
•        Monitor and optimize system health, performance, and operational manageability
•        Provide technical support to both internal consultants and end users

Requirements:
•        Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent discipline
•        3+ years of related experience – application development\database development
•        Proficient in T-SQL (Transactions, Stored Procedures) and SQL Server Management Tools
•        Solid knowledge of MS SQL Server administration, performance tuning and configuration
•        Familiar with SQL Server Integration service and Analysis Service
•        Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 2007 (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
•        Experience with Visual Studio 2005/2008, .NET Development (C#,ASP.NET), and OOP
•        Knowledge in configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows/SQL / IIS Servers
•        Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in mandarin and English
•        Able to work independently and deliver solutions
