Software engineer ( browser)
Description
The Open Source Technology Center within the Software and Solutions Group is looking for talented software engineers to develop web browser
for Mobile Linux Platform. Your duties will include browser architectural design, development, trouble-shooting, optimization, etc to achieve a world-class browser product. Key technical focus areas include web browser internals(e.g. the HTML layout engine, javascript engine, etc), Graphics Library of 2D/3D, Performance & memory footprint tuning, etc. This position also requires positive interaction with the Linux community to ensure code is developed in high quality and adopted in upstream community projects as appropriate.
Requirements:
- 5+ year professional software design/development experience. Working experience on web browser technology (e.g. Mozilla Firefox/Gecko engine or Webkit engine, etc) is a big plus.
- A bachelor degree (or above) in Computer Science or related areas. A master degree is preferred.
- Solid design and programming skills with C/C++
- Knowledge and experience in at least 2 key areas of interests: HTML layout engine, Javascript Engine, QT/GTK, 2D/3D Graphics Programming, Performance/Memory Optimization, or other infrastructure level software development
- Demonstrate a high level of flexibility and ability to participate in multiple areas of a nimble organization
- A background in Linux* middleware, library, application, system design and/or development
- Fluent in English
- Experience of interacting with the Linux* community would be an added advantage
MeeGo Performance Validation engineer
Location: Shanghai
Description
MeeGo validation team is looking for performance validation expert for MeeGo power and performance validation on various segment devices like Handset, Tablet and TV etc. In this position, you will get chance to work with industry Linux power and performance optimization expert and get the system view of MeeGo power and performance. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Demonstrate the ability to work with architect, product manager and technical marketing etc to understand the requirements, and define the performance indicators and create validation plan for specific veritcal usage
- Create qualitative and quantitative performance workload and tool to measure the indicators.
- Be able to do deep-dive analysis for power and performance issues and drive the engineering team to resolve.
- Responsible for interfacing with other teams for MeeGo performance validation
Qualifications
You should possess a Master degree with 2 years relevant experience, or a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering degree with 4 years relevant experience..
The candidate should be knowledgeable about Kernel, Linux system overall, key middleware ingredients and applications for usages like Handeset and Tablet. Additional qualifications include:
- Solid development experience on Linux, good programming skill in C, C++ and QT
- Expert in shell/python/perl etc script languages
- Proven track record in analyzing and debugging critical issues on Linux
- Solid understanding of IA-32 platform architecture.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Self starter who can work with minimal supervision in a team environment
MeeGo SDK Validation engineer
Location: Shanghai
Description
MeeGo validation team is looking for the talent for MeeGo SDK validation. In this position, you will get chance to work with world-wide MeeGo SDK developers to deliver world class MeeGo SDK on various host OSes like major Linux distros, MeeGo, and Windows etc. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Demonstrate the ability to create appropriate validation plan for a SDK based on the good understanding of software development cycle and developers experience.
- Design and create appropriate test cases for each SDK components. Create effective execution plan on a number of test configurations. Tests automation, execution, bug reporting and tracking.
- Be able to do deep-dive issues analysis and provide creative feedback to developers for improvement.
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor degree or above, with at least 3 years Linux development and validation experience. Additional qualifications include:
- Development experience as end-user of some SDKs. Be familiar with programming languages like QT, QtQuick/QML, and QT Web Runtime etc.
- Good at common script languages like shell/perl/python
- Be familiar with tools like git, bugzilla, rpm packaging tool and QtCreator etc.
- Strong technical documents writing and management skills - Be familiar with regular QA process and Bug life cycle
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Self starter who can work with minimal supervision in a team environment
MeeGo Security Validation engineer
Location: Shanghai
Description
The Open Source Technology Center (OTC) within the Intel Software and Services Group (SSG) is creating software for the next generation of mobile internet devices. OTC MeeGo validation team is looking for the talent for MeeGo security subsystem validation. In this position, you will get chance to work with MeeGo security architect to understand the security challenges of MeeGo and develop the security test plan accordingly. The ideal candidate must be good at problem solving, motivated and have the ability to research open-ended technical challenges. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: develop security test plans, scenarios and test cases for MeeGo security, security bug reporting and tracking, be able to do deep-dive issue analysis and interact with key stakeholders for issue resolving.
Qualifications
BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience or an MS degree with 3 years of experience. Additional qualifications include: a minimum background of 2 years recent experience in a combination of the following areas:
- Stay in a Linux system based organization
- Deep knowledge and hands on evaluation for common Linux security challenges/areas.
- Experience with security audit, scanning and penetration testing on Linux
- Strong C programming experience and expertise a must
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Self starter who can work with minimal supervision in a team environment
Senior Linux Validation Engineer
Location: Shanghai
Responsibility:
Successful candidate will be working on MeeGo project (http://meego.com) in SSG/SSD/Open Source Technology Center, responsible for testing and quality assurance work for the MeeGo product on Atom based platform, areas including MeeGo applications: media player, browser, email, home screen, and etc as well as middleware libraries, such as QT, Web Service, Content Manager and etc. Main responsibility includes test plan writing, test case design, test case development, test automation, test execution, bug reporting and tracking. May also drive and lead small team to complete validation for particular project.
Qualification:
* BS/MS in Computer Science
* Expert in software test methodologies, process, and experience in open source project testing is a plus
* Expert in Linux application and user space testing, experience on handheld device testing is a plus
* Expert in Linux programming, QT/GTK and programming language C/C++, Shell, Python
* Expert in Linux tools (revision control tool git, bugzilla...)
* Strong sense on application and GUI usability and system usability, experience on GUI test automation or usability testing is a plus
* 1+ project management experience is a plus
* Knowledge and experience in Intel hardware architecture
* Excellent English communication skills
* Good Team work and self-motivated |
