关于服务器最大内存问题

我的服务器的主板信息如下
装的时rhel3
内核版本为2.4.21-37.ELsmp

装了4G内存，然后打好了大内存补丁，结果还是只认3G
我的启动项也改过了，而且进入打完补丁的内核网卡也起不来
谁能帮一下忙

1、先确定BIOS中内存映射开了没有；
2、确定一下内存是不是完好。

另：如果是新装系统，其实可以考虑装64位的了，默认就支持大内存。

要是支持4或5当然好了

重新编译有点麻烦

看看内存映射
如果不行就得换一台新的服务器

反正一个也不够3，4个人用

重新编译內核开放大内存支持，

或者，重装为64bit

对于编译内核，还不太熟
