重装XP后，修复grub遇到的问题！~

我用硬盘安装的linux
先装的XP
本来好好的，后来我重装了一次xp..
现在linux用不了了~~
没有光盘。只有启动盘。
我想修复grub。。。
现附上我的分区信息：以及我修复的步骤“

请问我在linux终端运行grub修复的方法对吗？又错在哪？
如果不对的话，我又该哪何在现在工具的情况下重装grub???

root (hd0,x),这个x要设对,不是9就是8

我设的就是8
但是一发表就变成那个了，

就象你先前启动系统一样进入＃提示符后就在其后输入运行就好了呀！

我知道你指的是什么了，

我不是在启动后在＃下输入的，
我是在图形界面下，
开个终端直接打的grub

按楼主的fdisk -l 来看，楼主一定是采用系统自动分区的方式，也就是说分了/boot出来。而且/boot为hda8，在grub里，root (hd0,x)这里的x应该为7。

我在你之前已经按hdc7修复好了，

不过我不是采取的自动分区。
我是手动分的区。
要不好像自动的话XP就干没了~~没试过~

我是找到grub.conf这个文件后打开一看才知道是hdc7的，
很感谢上面几位高人~~
