SOS! mysql in redhat 9 can't start

I use the mysql of redhat9 include.
but i can't start it . can you tell me how to do it????

[root@localhost fred]# /usr/bin/safe_mysqld
Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/lib/mysql
041017 16:53:46  mysqld ended

[root@localhost bin]# mysqladmin version
mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)'
Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' exists!


log:
041017 16:53:46  mysqld started
041017 16:53:46  /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/host.frm' (errno: 13)
041017 16:53:46  mysqld ended

i got the solution to my problem all i did was
chown -R mysql /var/lib/mysql/*
chgrp daemon /var/lib/mysql/*
and all worked fine
把以上路径改成你的mysql路径。
