为什么我的Solaris 8只允许root 用户 log in?

其他用户都不行.但ROOT 进去以后可以 su  到其他用户.

Remote from ssh.  Actually I tried SFTP and that doesn't log in either.  

I logged in as root and reset the passwords of the users and I can su from one regular user to another regular user. However it just won't allow me to log in through ssh using any regular user.

I don't know what is the error message....but I do know there is deny list and allow list configuration in SSH. you'd better see the SSH configuration

tks but none of error messages was returned. the SSH console just keeps asking password (i am sure i have the right password).

Do you think it might be because the server war running single user mode?

No. I don't think so. if single user mode, you don't get the login prompt at all
