职位一、Mandarin TTS Expert/Manager中文语音合成研发经理/技术专家-上海
Overview:
Nuance's Mobility Division builds innovative, intelligent and intuitive touch and speech interfaces to simplify and enhance the way people interact with mobile devices, applications, and services. Nuance Mobile solutions make mobile devices and in-car systems easier to use, automate customer self-service, and optimize the access and discovery of even the most advanced mobile applications and content - regardless of technical know-how, location, environment, or physical and literacy capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to TTS manager, the research scientist will conduct and lead innovative research and development on speech synthesis technologies for Asian languages.
In the role as research scientist, your goal will be to continuously drive improvements and innovation to the Nuance Chinese TTS system, for commercial deployment in all types of markets and platforms.
Representative tasks will include:
1. Design, implementation, evaluation, optimization and testing of new algorithms and tools for text-to-speech synthesis, for both signal generation and text processing/understanding.
2. Product integration supervision of proven innovation results.
3. Defining the team's innovation and technical agenda, in cooperation with TTS management.
4. Creation of demonstrators and evaluators of new technologies.
Qualifications:
Required skills:
digital speech processing, strong mathematics knowledge, excellent computer programming skills preferably in C, C++ and scripting languages, familiarity with different OS and computing platforms, excellent English and communication skills, strong team player, proven track record of achievements in Chinese TTS R&D, fluent Mandarin speaking.
Preferred skills:
hands-on experiences in one or more of these areas, TTS R&D, software engineering, natural language processing and understanding, project management, parametric and/or unit selection TTS development.
Education: PhD or Master Degree in EE or CS from a well known university.
职位二、Mandarin TTS (Text To Speech) Research Engineer 中文语音合成研究员-上海
Overview:

Responsibilities:
Reporting to TTS manager, the research engineer will conduct innovative research and development on speech synthesis technologies with focus on Asian languages.
As part of the TTS R&D organization, you will be contributing to the development of text-to-speech technology for all types of markets and platforms with focus on Asian languages.
Representative tasks will include:
1. Design, implementation, evaluation, optimization and testing of new algorithms and tools for text-to-speech synthesis, for both signal generation and natural language processing/understanding.
2. Ongoing improvements of existing language and voice portfolio.
3. Focus on creating efficient production and development processes to bring the technology to marketable products in a wide range of languages.
4. Development of new languages and voices, including organizing the work for a project team and working with external contractors.
5. Creation of demonstrators and evaluators of new technologies.
6. Technical support to internal and external customers
Qualifications:
Required skills:
TTS R&D, computer programming skills preferably in C, C++ and scripting languages, familiarity with different OS and computing platforms, good English and excellent communication skills, strong team player, fluent Mandarin speaking
Preferred skills:
Hands-on experiences in one or more of these areas: project management, signal processing, NLP/NLU R&D, software engineering, parametric/unit selection TTS system. Additional languages is a strong plus, passion for quality, attention to detail, strong interest in languages/linguistics
Education: Master degree in EE/CS/Comp. Ling (or similar) |
