关于Firmware Password

SUN的u10，现在启动的时候能进入一个界面了，形式如下：
>;boot(...),go(...),login(...),command mode:

这是不是所谓的OK模式？

但是当我输入boot cdrom -brower的时候，却出现提示
Firmware Password:

而这个PASSWORD我是不知道的，在google上找了一下，好象解决办法是要把NVRAM给拆下来，然后清除掉，再充实之。挺麻烦的，而且在没有行动之前还不知道行不行得通。。。

哪位有更好更方便的方法？

还有，这个Firmware Password是不是跟PC里面BIOS的PASSWORD是一个道理呀？

想了解一下，出现的这个界面是不是OK模式？　免得到时候白忙活了，呵呵。。。

这个界面是还没有进ok状态，你需要知道密码，问你的前任管理员要

你输入密码之后才能进入系统，boot进入启动操作系统，go继续（取决于autoboot的设置进入ok或者直接启动) login进入ok

已经没法找到密码啦。。。

呵呵，那就差不多没用了,找块新的nvram吧

在一网站上看到这样的解决方案：

1) At the OK Prompt type banner, and jot down Ethernet address and hostid#

Ethernet address will be 8 0 20 nn nn nn

Hostid will be 80nnnnnn

In step 8, just enter the nnnnnn part not the 80 part

2) Open the hood

3) Remove the NVRAM

4) Plug the NVRAM in backwards

5) Apply power for 2 seconds

#This will erases the contents

6) Reinstall the nvram properly

7) Turn on power again

Enter in new NVRAM parameters:

ok 0 0 mkp

ok 8 0 20 nn nn nn hostid mkpl


ctl-d

ctl-r

ok banner


9) This should have reset the contents without the password.


If it still complains, try step 4-8 again


可行性如何？　值得一试吗？　搞坏的话，那这个U10是不是等于没用了？

BTW：NVRAM长什么样我还不知道呢。。。哈哈。。。拆开之后不知道哪个是就不好意思了。。。

你好,我现在也是一台U10,也没有Firemware Password ,你的问题解决了吗? 我还真的不想U10变成垃圾呢.
请指教.

我刷过一次u10的nvram，当时要加一块200G的硬盘，u10不认，就把nvram给刷了。不知道把nvram取下来之后能不能象pc可以略过bios一样，进到系统里，刷了然后再把nvram装上。

There're many poeple met the same problem before and here's some of the solutions:

One solution that I have not tried yet is, move your boot disk to anther Sun U10,
boot up the system, and run "eeprom security-mode=none".
