- The Unix server doesn\'t provide XDMCP service. Check if a \"dtlogin\" process is running on the server. Also, Xmanager tries to connect to the UDP 177 port of the server.
- The Unix cannot reach at your PC due to a firewall. If the Xstart works well, this is not the reason of the problem.
- DNS configuration has an incorrect entry for your IP address. Your IP address is translated to \"hostname\" and then the \"hostname\" is converted to IP address again by the Unix. If a mismatch occurs in the process, XDMCP connection might fail.
- For XDMCP connection error, /var/dt/Xerrors file will be a good help.
