Xi'an IBM has an QA position opening.

This position is for a quality assurance specialist for the testing of systems management products. The essential duties and responsibilities include product requirement and design review, test requirement definition, test strategy and test case design, test tools development, effective testing and quality assessment.

Responsibilities:
•        Participate in product requirements review and component tests
•        Develop test strategy, procedures and cases based on requirements
•        Design, develop and execute reusable test plans, ensure effective coverage of test cases to maximize user perceived quality of the product
•        Investigate and implement new testing methods and tools in order to maximize testing efficiency
•        Effectively execute test cases
•        Regression test defects quickly and accurately
•        Troubleshoot problems with application, utility, Operation System and hardware setup
•        Effectively communicate status and issues with Development, Documentation and other related groups
•        Review and test product documentation
•        Assess product quality for business people to make release decisions

Requirements:
•        Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline
•        At least 3 year experience in software test
•        Experience in IT Unix/Linux Administration, Network Administration, or the verification of system software
•        Broad knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system, including network configuration, file system
•        Hands-on experience with database administration and programming (MySQL/Postgresql)
•        Programming experience with Perl, Python, or other shell scripting languages
•        Good understanding of product development and product life-cycle management in highly technical environments
•        Familiar with product requirement/design review and use case development
•        Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•        Certification on Linux platforms (e.g., RedHat, SuSE) is strong asset
•        Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills is a must
•        Knowledge of mainstream virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM, VMware, Xen) is a plus.
•        Knowledge of cloud computing technology (e.g., OpenStack) is a plus.
