Job Description
Work directly with customers on deployment of custom servers products tailored to customer needs.
Responsible to define, setup, test and deploy custom server specification, such as BIOS/RAID/DMI/FRU and all firmware. Drive closure of issues by working with internal team members and suppliers.
Able to independently qualify and validate new hardware at component / platform level.
Ensure customer technical issues are validated and addressed in a timely manner. Work with internal and field engineers to identify, track, root-cause and resolve issues.
Provide input on new product development and engineering processes; help drive compelling new ideas forward by designing, building and testing evaluation units to meet customer requirements.
Execute power analysis, performance benchmark and reliability validation tests on new hardware. Determine refinements to standard tests to better meet customer needs.
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams in support of overall company objectives.
Lead debug efforts to root cause customer issues working with internal engineering team and vendors. Carefully manage flow of information between customers, internal teams, and vendors. Summarize status and reporting
Knowledge in the regulatory approvals process, including design reviews, test plan preparation, electromagnetic compatibility, EMC and Safety troubleshooting/mitigation, and agency submittals
Perform DUT equipment setups in-house and at the test lab for safety, immunity and emission testing per requirements detailed in EMC standards and test procedures for International market.
Requirement
BS EE/CS/CE/MEE or equivalent.
2+ years server product hand-on engineering experience with track record of deploying complicated server products.
Well-organized, detail oriented with excellent trouble shooting skills.
Strong analysis, communication, oral and report writing skills.
Self-motivated, team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Linux based software experience is a plus
