Command "df" Query

Who would like to tell me why the avaialble capacity prodeced from "df -b path_name" is greater than the avaiable capacity produced from "df -h path_name"?
For instance:
>;df -b /opt/app
Filesystem              avail
/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0     1049921

>;df -h /opt/app
Filesystem             size   used  avail capacity  Mounted on
/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0      6.4G   5.4G   960M    86%    /

Aha, I see.
If you excute "df -k", there will be 1% to 10% space reseved  for root to do such as DELETE, ROLLBACK  etc.
But if you excuted "df -b", this space will be calculated into available capacity. so the value is always greater than the value of excuting "df -k"
Isn't it?
