Problem with sort memory

Hi,

I hit the below error message :

[IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/6000] SQL0955C  Sort memory cannot be allocated to
process the statement. Reason code = "".  SQLSTATE=57011


According to the manual, I should decrease the sortheap, but why ? Not that I should increase the sortheap ? What should I do ?

yes i read this from the db2 manual as well but the problem is the reason code return is BLANK so what should I do? I assumed I should follow the first instruction whereby I need to decrease the SORTHEAP but since the message shown sort cannot be allocated then I should increase the SORTHEAP instead of decrease...

Please advise.
