A.Logitech(www.logitech.com.cn)---System Engineer

Position Overview
The System Engineer, working under the direct supervision of IT Manager, develops, setup and maintains all the Windows systems in the Logitech.
On a day-to-day basis, this individual will troubleshoot existing server hardware/software problems, as well as any LAN connectivity problems and desktop user support.  Act as a technical liaison between IT and BU Management and complete assigned requests for IT Service.  Responsibilities will include implementing modifications and/or new hardware as well as applications within the server and LAN environment. Will also be responsible for setup, configuration, implementation, administration and ongoing maintenance of all Windows and Lotus Notes servers.

Qualifications
To be qualified for this position, individuals should have minimum four or more years of Windows server support and LAN administration as well as a thorough knowledge and understanding of the following hardware and software in an enterprise environment: Intel server hardware (HP/Compaq, Dell, IBM, etc), Windows 2000/XP client, Windows 2000/2003 Server and Active Directory, Lotus Notes, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.  The individual must be able to maintain the infrastructure equipment at the collocation facility and also be willing to take part in 24/7 on-call rotation when assigned.

Required: BS in computer science, engineering or communications, or better is required. MCSE is a must. At least 4 years of experience with several variants of Windows server OS, including 2000, 2003 as well as Linux; previous programming or scripting experience; ability and motivation to learn new technologies quickly and with minimal support and guidance; effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff; ability to work productively in teams; good problem solver. Extensive experience in managing multiple locations. Ability to work independently.

Preferred:
• Sound knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Server family installation and configuration.
• Sound knowledge of administration and maintenance of the Active Directory
• Performance monitoring and tuning on Windows 2000/2003. Analysis of performance data.
• Security associated with the Active Directory and the Windows File System
• TCP/IP, including Active Directory integrated DNS, DHCP and WINS.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Terminal Server and Citrix Metaframe
• Knowledge of Clustering technology, data and applications i.e. SQL
• Knowledge of Network Appliance, Hitachi Data Systems storage area network and Radware technology based solutions an advantage.
Duties
Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide general IT infrastructure support.
• General Windows Server system management & administration tasks.
• Performance tuning and analysis
• Planning and testing software and hardware upgrades
• Windows 2000 & 2003 administration functions

• Effectively communicate and escalate with a global team to deliver projects on time.

• Document and log all changes to system software and configurations. Maintain extensive documentation for all projects.
• Report daily and weekly status to the IT Section Manager.
• Update equipment inventory and other related documents for tracking purposes.

B.Vesuvius(www.vesuvius.com.cn)---IT Engineer
1.  Title: IT Engineer

Requirement:
 Graduate, MCSE is prefer
 Excellent written & verbal communications skills including English
 2-3 years experience on help desk and server management
 A good working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Linux or Netware experience is prefer
 A good working knowledge of Citrix server
 Background for SQL or Oracle
 Basic working knowledge of PC networks, LAN, WAN etc.
 A good working knowledge of Backup Exec

Responsibilities and Job Description
1. To monitor daily backup job, and response for periodically restore testing
 Performing daily backup job and keep all critical data in protect
 Adjust or create backup job as request
 Perform restore testing every 3 month

2. Daily Help Desk
 Handling PC and portable request from user
 New computer installation as request.
 Daily help desk job include hardware and software (Windows XP, Lotus Notes Client etc)
 Basic network configuration and diagnostic, network security monitor
 Virus monitor and protect, knowledge of Mcafee and EPO agent
 Liaising with local management to ensure upgrades are performed in a timely manner
 Ensure standards for client configuration are adopted and adhered to by IS Staff

3. Daily Server Job
 Check the server log and basic trouble shooting
 User Account setting and file security management

4. Server Control
 Window server installation
 Carry out Windows server disaster recovery plan and review exist document
 Citrix server installation and management, and roll out Thin client
 Novell server account setup and control, basic knowledge on Netware 5.11

5. Network control
 Design network when new request coming out

6. Carry out any special projects assigned by Manager.
7. Negotiate with supplier
