请问MEDIA_UNMOUNT_DELAY这个参数在哪个服务器上设置？

我现在备份完成后经常发生磁带退出驱动器后留在驱动器口的情况，机械臂没抓磁带，想设加大MEDIA_UNMOUNT_DELAY参数，除了master server，在media server需要设置吗？

驱动器没down掉，后续备份失败后才down掉，我的SERVER都是UNIX，bp.conf都有，就是不知道MEDIA SERVER是否也要加。

这是你参考的文章中的最后面一句话，但windows master server没有bp.conf文件。具体在注册表的哪个位置还需要确认。

There are times where NetBackup sends the MOVE MEDIUM command to the library, too soon after sending the REWIND/UNLOAD command to a drive. The library will attempt to move the cartridge back to it's home cell, before the drive has actually ejected the cartridge. The drive hasn't ejected the cartridge because the drive hasn't finished completing all the steps required in a REWIND/UNLOAD command.
The library will try to move the cartridge and find that the drive is still rewinding or trying to finish the REWIND/LOAD command. The library will post an FSC (like FSC3e24 or 3e2(x)) to it's FSC log and go on to it's next command.  'drive waiting for rewind to complete can not accept the next command yet.'
A Solution:
A library is a single SCSI command hardware component so it will not retry a failed command.  Set or change Veritas's MEDIA_UNMOUNT_DELAY setting. The normal StorageTek suggestion depends on the drive type being used by the customer. StorageTek normally suggests the following:
•        Ø        25-30 minutes for DLT 7, 8 and Super drives
•        Ø        20-25 minutes for the 3 LTO types
•        Ø        10-15 minutes for 9940
•        Ø        3-6 for 9840
Background: The settings above will cause NetBackup to wait to dismount every tape in every drive for the allotted parameter settings. This setting is only useful on cartridges were the data is covering half to almost all of the tape. Always suggest that the parameter settings be played with to match the customer's environment, to lessen any degradation to the backup window.  
The following is the excerpt from the Veritas NetBackup's Administrator Guide, explaining the MEDIA_ UNMOUNT_ DELAY parameter:"MEDIA_UNMOUNT_DELAY"  (from Veritas Netbackup 3.4 Admin Guide - page 337)
Applies only to user operations (including backups and restores of database-extension clients, such as those running NetBackup for Oracle). When you specify MEDIA_UNMOUNT_DELAY, the media unload is delayed for the specified number of seconds after the requested operation has completed. This delay reduces unnecessary media unmounts and media positioning in cases where the media is requested again a short time later.
The delay can range from 0 to 1800 seconds (the default is 180 seconds (3 minutes) ). If you specify 0, the media unmount occurs immediately upon completion of the requested operation. The maximum delay is 1800 seconds. Values greater than 1800 are set to 1800. You can add this option to the /usr/openv/netbackup/bp.conf file on NetBackup servers."

我现在不知道是否需要在MEDIA SERVER上设置这些参数。
