请教一个内存认不出的问题

noizz

dell2950服务器，装了8g内存，2g*4。
用dmidecode查看，可以看到4个2g的内存模块。
但是启动日志里只看出有3g内存，top也是。
是redhat as5版本。
请问是什么问题？怎么解决呢？
硬件？硬件不会那么怪只认出3g吧，要么也是2g的倍数啊。

如果是32bit的话，去安装PAE的kernel，就是kernel-PAE-<version>这个包。
然后使用该kernel启动系统，支持更大的内存扩展。

看来就是PAE的问题，但是哪里去下载这个rpm呢？
redhat6月份出了一个升级补丁，这个补丁包含这个pae的rpm。
但是这个升级补丁要能上网用update，yum这些工具来更新。
不知道哪里有得下载？
