请教一个内存认不出的问题 [复制链接]

5可用积分
dell2950服务器,装了8g内存,2g*4。
用dmidecode查看,可以看到4个2g的内存模块。
但是启动日志里只看出有3g内存,top也是。
是redhat as5版本。
请问是什么问题?怎么解决呢?
硬件?硬件不会那么怪只认出3g吧,要么也是2g的倍数啊。

如果是32bit的话,去安装PAE的kernel,就是kernel-PAE-<version>这个包。
然后使用该kernel启动系统,支持更大的内存扩展。

看来就是PAE的问题,但是哪里去下载这个rpm呢?
redhat6月份出了一个升级补丁,这个补丁包含这个pae的rpm。
但是这个升级补丁要能上网用update,yum这些工具来更新。
不知道哪里有得下载?

你当前光盘里就有,已经让你去装kernel-PAE这个包了。

我的也是这样,4G内存只能认3.2G,windows也是这样的 !

重新编译内核,让他支持4G内存就可以了。具体位置想不起来了。但是可以
