One suggestion in amongst that lot was "[17179578.592000] irq 217: nobody cared (try booting with the "irqpoll" option)". To try this do the following.
Boot your PC until it gets past the BIOS and you see grub counting down.
Press escape, you will see a menu of kernels that can be booted. Usually the top one is the default, there may only be two lines.
Highlight the first one (probably already highlighted) and press "e" to edit. A new menu will appear.
Press down once then press "e" on the line that starts "kernel". You're now editing that line.
Backspace to remove "quiet" and "nosplash" and instead add in "irqpoll" (without the quotes) as per the suggestion above.
Press Enter when you have finished typing, then "b" to boot.
Other options which you can try instead of "irqpoll" which may or may not help are "noapic" "noacpi" and "acpi=off". Can you try each one individually and see if any of them help? |
