特大利好消息，aix模拟器，不是4月1日礼物

千万里，我追寻着你。。。。\r\n\r\nvmware, virtual pc都令人失望，蓦然回首，却在灯火阑珊处\r\n\r\nAIX的虚拟机（还不算名正言顺）—— power 970 full system simulator\r\n\r\n尽管只能模拟power pc 970 (ibm刀片服务器），尽管只支持linux平台，但确确实实可以模拟出aix了（遗憾的是在ibm外面没有可boot的AIX版），所以，还差关键的一步。遗憾啊！\r\n\r\n前几日下载，一直没时间试，最近有人试过，如有兴趣，请自己搞搞，欢迎发表讨论。\r\n\r\n\r\n注：需要自己注册一个id，免费\r\nhttp://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/systemsim970\r\n\r\n\r\nOperating systems: Red Hat Linux 8.0, RedHat Linux 9.0, RedHat Enterprise Linux 3, Fedora Core 2, and Fedora Core 3 \r\n\r\nComputer: x86 machines with a minimum of 3 GB of available hard disk space for installing the core simulator files and rootdisk image \r\n\r\nRAM: The minimum amount of RAM must equal twice the amount of simulated memory. 我也没试过，没有装了linux的机器，过几个星期找台机器试试

今天有点时间，开始安装测试。\r\n\r\n1. 先下载了SystemSim_x86_rhel3_2.0.tar.bz2, 大概7M多，不大\r\n2.由于没有单独的机器，所以准备在vmware上装，下载了一个vmware server\r\n3. 设置一个linux red hat es 虚拟机，按照要求安装rhel v3 版。虚拟机内存尽可能大，根据要求，最好是仿真系统的1倍，我内存不多，只有1G，所以给虚拟机分了768M，以后的仿真系统准备分配256M。硬盘大小也不太足，只分了5G，建议给个10G 20G的。\r\n4. 额外安装了text version internet tools和developing tools\r\n5. 在linux里面创建了一个upload用户，把SystemSim_x86_rhel3_2.0.tar.bz2 用ftp传到目录里面\r\n6. 在linux, 用upload用户（注意看说明，不能用root用户）\r\ntax xjf SystemSim_x86_rhel3_2.0.tar.bz2\r\n7. cd ibmsim/toolchain\r\n8. make toolchain_all\r\n注意：此时要求连到internet下载程序，所以一定要保证网络畅通。\r\nwaiting for connecting to internet and download some files\r\n根据网速，可能要3个小时，下载，编译都是自动的。\r\n\r\n目前正在编译中，稍后再续。

经验证，18m之外的没戏了，没有可boot的image，等什么时候18m开放boot image吧。\r\n\r\n可以测试一下power pc linux编程，看看编译问题。

要做aix boot image, 外面没有，只有linux的boot image...
