SDE– Mobile Application
主要做mobile shopping那块的  android和win phone平台

Key Responsibilities:
   Design, develop the global Amazon Shopping Application on Android, enabling the worldwide customers to shop on Amazon via their mobile devices.

·         Explore and innovate around the mobile ability to enrich the shopping experience on mobile.

·         Independently own and deliver vertical features on mobile application.

·         Work with other global teams to integrate other  Amazon to mobile application.

·         Define metrics, and generate reports, using data as a driver for higher quality and feature innovation.

Basic Qualifications

·         5+ years of software development experience on customer facing software.

·         BS degree in Computer Science or relate fields.

·         A deep understanding to object-oriented design and programming

·         Strong in at least one object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Java, Objective C, C++, C#, etc.) and strong in object-oriented design

·         Experience in the complete software design lifecycle from idea generation to delivery to customers.

·         Passion for software craftsmanship that yields clean, elegant and maintainable code

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English

Preferred Qualifications

·         5+ years of industry experience developing customer facing software.

·         Demonstrated ability to lead teams across the globe

·         Experience with agile development methodologies

·         Experience on rapid prototyping and problem analysis

·         Android application development experience.

Basic Qualifications

·       Our applications are powered by Java, Perl, and AJAX. Successful candidates will have a strong background in an object-oriented language such as Java and experience building web applications.

·       A bachelors or masters degree in computer science or a relevant area is required.

·       Candidates must be experienced, innovative, creative, flexible and self-motivated, with the ability to design and write high-performance, reliable, and maintainable code.

·       Candidate must be fluent in Chinese, and advance level of English

Preferred qualifications

    Experience with Scrum or Agile development a plus.
    Fluency in English



SDE—OPS  主要做库存 和供应链系统

A successful candidate would demonstrate the following:

    Motivated self-starter who is excited about overcoming hurdles to get things moving in the right direction.
    5+ years of relevant experience, rich hands-on programming experience in Java, Ruby, C++ and other object-oriented languages and have a deep understanding of object-oriented design.
    Familiarity with Oracle, MySQL, Web Service and SOA
    Familiarity with design concepts such as design patterns and UML are also highly desirable.
    Practical experience with software engineering best-practices is a big advantage. Deep understanding of distributed systems and scalability is highly desirable.
    Strong communication skills. Able to communicate in both verbal and written forms in English.
    Strong ownership.
    The ideal candidate will have implemented at least one large scale enterprise system with experience with databases, Linux, and various messaging technologies.
    Experience translating business requirements into operational systems
    Willingness to work in an agile team development environment, have basic knowledge of agile design process, experience developing software in an agile environment is highly preferred
    A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field is required.
    Commitment to operational excellence: building low-defect systems that are user-friendly with low operational burden;




SDE– Information Optimization

主要工作：设计底层算法，建立后台服务及运用数据挖掘和自然语言处理等技术，管理海量数据质量。

熟悉数据挖掘，自然语言处理，算法研究优先

Key Responsibilities:

The Software Development Engineers for Amazon Information Optimization in Beijing, China will:

·         Deep dive into Amazon’s Global Catalog systems to drive initiative which are critical to customer experiences, as well as company’s third-party seller and product expansions in China

·         Work in a cross-functional setting to do data-driven, fuzzy optimizations on a large volume of data

·         Design, develop algorithms/services to measure, detect, and correct data quality issues

·         Develop intelligent text processing and extraction algorithms to analyze Chinese data

·         Work with other global teams to integrate services into catalog tools and systems

·         Define metrics, and generate user-friendly and dynamic dashboards and reports, using Data Warehouse and other data sources

Basic Qualifications

·         5+ years of industry experience developing large scale distributed systems

·         BS and MS degree in Computer Science or relate field

·         A deep understanding to object-oriented design and programming

·         Proficient in building software applications in Java, and/or Perl, preferably in a Unix/Linux environment

·         Solid RDBMS experience, familiar with SQL

·         Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, unit testing and functional testing

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English

o    Design, develop, test and delivery of large-scale systems for free search traffic analytics platform
o    Design, develop, test and delivery of machine learning algorithms/system to detect search engine page ranking algorithm
o    Analyze large sets of data using data mining techniques and formulate project ideas and strategies using data driven approaches
o    Drive cross-team initiatives to drive more traffics to amazon retail website
o    Lead global website architectural changes
o    Define metrics, and generate user-friendly and dynamic dashboards and reports, using Data Warehouse and other data sources
o    Mentor other engineers, and provide support for our services and applications
Basic Qualifications
o    3+ years of industry experience in software development
