INTRODUCTION
The new install wizard for IBM® Informix Dynamic Server™ 11.10 (IDS) verifies that all the necesary requirements are met before intalling the product. Specifically, AIX 5.3 64-bit IDS requires that the package C Set ++ 8.0.0.0 is installed.
If you try to install IDS 11.10.FC1 on an AIX machine that doesn't have package C Set ++ 8.0.0.0 installed, you won't be able to install IDS and will get the following message from the installer:

STEPS
Perform these steps to succesfully complete the IDS 11.10 installation:
1. Download the package C Set ++ 8.0.0.0 from the following URL:
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/aix/p ... 0.jul2007.ptf.tar.Z
2. Install the package C Set ++ 8.0.0.0 (you can get help from your System Administrator to perform this step).
3. Run the IDS 11.10.FC1 installation again.
