IBM System x GCG L2 Technical Support Engineer

Job description:

• 2nd level technical support to IBM Greater China Group(China Mainland, Hongkong, Taiwan) customer;
• Lab based daily operation to handle the difficult technical issues escalation from GCG, in rare situation, need provide onsite support in GCG;
• Support the whole product line of  IBM System x, PWS, Option, Storage, System management products;
• Isolate the problem in a complexed environment, which including Windows/Linux/Novel, SQL/Oracle, HA/Cluster, Networking and all kinds of miscellaneous applications;
• Technical escalation to WW L3 support team for issues can not resolved locally, drive the solution given through written and telephone conference;
• Failure Analyses and provide FA report;
• Critical situation management to achieve customer satisfaction.

Job Requirement:

• Must be very familiar with Linux/Windows OS, Networking, Server Technology;
• CCNA, CCNP, RHCE, MCSE/MCDBA etc is preferred;
• IT related bachelor or above is required
• Ability to manage multiple/complex task under pressure;
• Logical thinking and well time management skill;
• Good command of presentation/communication/negotiation skills across other functional team.
• Good  oral and writen English
• Ability to work independently and high sense of responsibility.
