IRC 24193 System Administrator
The Engineering team at Red Hat is looking for a system administrator for facilities at Beijing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Installation of hardware components, which includes the placement, power, cabling, and updating of asset inventory. Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and configuration problems. System Administration. Secure, monitor access. Work with building facilities and electricians to maintain the lab. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
Minimum of two years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ideal candidate would possess RHCE.
Linux operating system installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
Networking technology at the physical (twisted pair, fiber optic) and logical (Ethernet, TCP/IP) level including the various supporting services and protocols (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Kerberos)
Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (shell/Python/Perl).
Familiarity with various types of industry hardware [x86, AMD64, EM64T, IA64, S390/S390x, PowerPC] and other Unices (Solaris, HP/UX, AIX etc) or Windows
Demonstrated troubleshooting ability
Ability to read and interpret English language technical documents. Ability to speak business level English.
