IRC34986: JBoss Frontline Support Engineer
Red Hat Inc. is looking for Java engineers to join its worldwide Support organisation. Come join one of the fastest growing enterprise software and services companies and the leader of Open Source. You will follow a full curriculum of technical and service trainings to become a fully operational JEE/JBoss specialist. In addition, you will experience every day how we do support differently, by working hand-in-hand with our team of JBoss Support Experts as well as with JBoss R&D. This day-to-day cooperation will offer a great opportunity to learn beyond the trainings themselves. You also will have the opportunity to deliver Developer-to-Developer Assistance as well as Production Technical Support.
A large majority of support is accomplished through a web portal, although phone and IM are also utilized. These positions are opened in several Support centers around the world (USA, UK, Australia, China, India). You will report to the Regional Manager of Red Hat Support, within Red Hat's Global Support Services organization. In your daily activities, you will be working with JBoss Support Experts so that you can leverage their skills and experience and gain more knowledge and skills for yourself in the process.

Job Requirements:
Required Skills and Experience
2+ years of professional work experience
In-depth knowledge of the Java platform
Proven ability and willingness to learn new open source middleware technologies
Strong customer service skills
Demonstrated efficient problem solving techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Preferred Skills and Experience
1 year+ experience/knowledge of one or several JEE/App Server technologies such as JMS, Web Services, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, Hibernate, Tomcat or Datasources
Ability to deal with change and limited structure
Must be highly motivated, self-sufficient, perceptive, ambitious, flexible and high energy
