Position: Technical Support Engineer / Senior Tech. Support Engineer
Location: Dalian, China

Primary Focus:
Actively  provide support to Enterprise Global Customers over the Internet.

Distinguishing Characteristics:
Technical Support Engineers should have in-depth technical knowledge of Oracle products and understand systems and the underlying technology. They are able to effectively convey complex technical subject matter expertise to Oracle employees and customers. They can escalate problems in time and self-resolve difficult problems independently. They can provide consultation to other team members on technical queries and clarifications.  

Example of Duties:
·        Ensure resolution of customer reported problems as per the  Service Level Agreement guidelines
·        Manage and resolve customer escalation
·        Provide technical assistance and mentoring to support personnel and customers
·        Contribute to Knowledge creation

        Knowledge and Skills:
        Technical:
·        Is recognized as a product expert in RDBMS concepts with a minimum 2 years experience using Oracle database.
·        Solid understanding of Oracle Database Administration
·        Working experience and strong understanding of operating systems – Linux, UNIX & NT.
·        Exposure to different flavors of UNIX - HP-UX / SOLARIS / AIX preferred.
·        Understanding of Oracle Tools with working knowledge of SQL* Plus and PL/SQL

        Professional:
·        Excellent technical writing skills and oral communications skills – CET Level 6
·        Strong customer orientation and dedication to success
·        Strong problem solving / analysis and diagnosis skills
·        Comfort in creating and delivering technical presentations
·        Self-managed and self-starting with an orientation on achieving results
·        Ability to maintain professional relationships with other groups
·        Maintains his/her own professional development including continuous learning of new Oracle products
        Qualifications:  Bachelor/Master degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Science
