win2000 上装的 oracle 8.0.5 在使用sqlplus 的 select 查询时 当数据量大时 就会报

ora-03113:end_of_file on communication channel
错， 条件限定使检索出的数据量小时就没有问题，是什么原因， 怎么解决？ 请各位高手帮忙啊！以前有03113错的帖子，但情况有所不同，所以只有请教各位啦！

It is not the problem of Oracle database or listener.
Most likely it is caused by the configuration of you network and server.

For example, on our site we have one server that is configured it that way: any user connection to the Unix box get killed if it is not active for 10 minutes.

For me it means, when I run SQL*Plus or Toad from my maching, and I do not run anything during 10 minutes I recive this error. To reistablish I have to CLOSE the SQL*Plus or TOAD and reestablish my connection.

Any way in most cases, ORA-03113 implies that you process was killed on Unix side.

To know the exact reasons for this error you can check your alert log and the trace file generated by the server process.

ipc : internal process communication
oracle是以进程为主要的的执行方式，当应用很大的时候，要开很多的进程来满足服务，如果你开小了，就不够了，
可以在/etc/system(solaris) /etc/sysconfigtab(tru64)中设置，如果硬件允许，开大点没有什么不好的。

上边的英文解释也很好，可以一一排除。
oraerr吧可以看到错误的原因，你看看oracle的document.\

非常感谢！我再检查一下参数配置！(不过 我的系统平台是win2000 server ， 与与数据库有关的除了内存及硬盘大小外，还有什么需要注意？)

firstly,it seems a server-side problem

if the dba defines resource limitation in oracle server,i donot
know what will happen.

as the second step,you can ask your sysadmin/netadmin whether
then have defined any limitation.

the last reason to consider,it is a bug.

2000上我倒是真的没有怎么用过，出现的毛病没有看到过，可以看看文档
