samba limitation

Hi Gurus,

I have samba 2.2.8a on both RH7.3.  It seams to me that samba could not handle files larger than 4.3 GB in size.

Any ideas please?

I guess this is a samba problem as linux kernal handles these files very well.

Also, Samba can mount a Windows driver (10GB) well.  Ans Windows can see all the big files (>; 4.3 GB) on Linux.

It is just that the two linux system could not see each others' larger sharing files (>; 4.3 GB).

Why?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

What type of your 4.3GB file?

database file?

may be the orcle or sybase you using, and the site of the owner may have the details, i think~~

It is just a file.tar.gz   (compressed tar ball).
